Intel’s Twin River project was a collaboration with Intel’s in-house design team. Twin Rivers is a dual screen laptop. I helped develop DFM, prototype builds, tooling and transition to an EVT build.
Full scale hot press tooling
This helped to confirm overall process flow as well as work out problem areas that may arise before cutting the full-scale tool. I’m a big fan of working through problem areas by isolating them one at a time. I will often make mini or abbreviated models to help me come up with solutions or confirm my thinking.
Quick pull and sheer test to narrow down the heat activated adhesive to use. Further lab testing would take place during the EVT build.
